Summary
Content-driven web framework with islands architecture (62.9k stars, TS): ship zero JS by default, hydrate interactive islands only. The static-site-plus-sprinkles middle path between SSGs and full SPA frameworks. See Static Site Generators.
Learnings
- Islands vs hydration: the whole JS-framework argument collapses when the default is ‘no JS at all’ — interactivity becomes an explicit per-component opt-in. This is the architectural answer to why gatsby (OSS) lost.
Gotchas
- (none yet)
Hands-on
(open: hands-on if a future project needs embedded widgets without a runtime)
