Summary
Eleventy, renamed (19.9k stars, JS; repo moved 11ty/eleventy -> 11ty/buildawesome, API 301-redirects): the minimalist counter-position — no client framework, no data graph, directory of templates in any engine -> HTML. Configuration-light by design.
Learnings
- The rename is a 2026 event worth noting: Eleventy’s identity was always ‘simpler than Jekyll, simpler than everything’ — the buildawesome rename doubles down on that. Repo-rename gotcha: the capture pipeline SKIPs because the 301 lands on the new name and a note already exists.
Gotchas
- (none yet)
Hands-on
(not adopted; minimalist reference)
