Summary
Astro’s official docs theme (9.3k stars): islands philosophy applied to docs — zero JS by default, accessibility-first, i18n built in. See Docs SSGs.
Learnings
- Proof the islands argument generalizes from sites to docs: most doc pages need no interactivity, so the framework JS budget goes to zero by default. The natural docs pick for an Astro-native stack.
